ABSTRACT:
This study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of a herbal face wash utilizing natural botanical ingredients, including Reetha, Neem, Turmeric, Strawberry, Lemon, and Rose water. The formulation aims to provide effective skin cleansing, nourishment, and enhancement of radiance without relying on harmful synthetic chemicals. Using Guar gum as a gelling agent, three distinct batches (Batch A, B, and C) were successfully prepared at a laboratory scale. All formulations were subjected to rigorous evaluation parameters, including color, odor, pH, consistency, spreadability, washability, foamability, and skin irritancy. The results demonstrated that all batches possessed an aesthetically pleasing reddish-pink color and a sweet strawberry-like aroma. Among the batches, Batch A exhibited superior performance with an optimal skin-friendly pH of 5.6, easy spreadability, excellent foamability, smooth consistency, and completely non-irritant properties. In conclusion, the formulated herbal face wash serves as a safe, effective, economical, and eco-friendly alternative to conventional synthetic cleansers, making it ideal for daily skincare applications.
