ABSTRACT:
The current study focusses on the creation and assessment of a herbal soap that employs Crocus sativus (saffron) extract for possible medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Packed with bioactive substances including crocin, crocetin, and safranal, saffron is well-known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and skin-brightening qualities. Physical attributes such as colour, texture, pH, foamability, and stability were used to optimise different formulations. With a pH that was gentle on the skin and an excellent lathering ability, the refined formulation had favourable physicochemical characteristics. Evaluations of antioxidant and antibacterial properties showed notable activity, indicating saffron's potential as a useful ingredient in skincare products. According to the findings, saffron-based herbal soap provides a safe, natural substitute for synthetic soaps in improving the appearance and health of skin.
